Service Description

This course is designed for front line EMS personnel, firefighters, and law enforcement officers. RTF is an aggressive response to an active assailant incident that provides rapid trauma treatment at the point where victims are located. It is a joint response between law enforcement and Fire/EMS departments. RTF can be adapted to any agency, large or small, rural or urban. With basic understanding of language, roles and movements, trained persons will finish this course with a functional understanding and ability to perform this task. This Instructor-led course includes classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, practical scenarios, and full-scale evolutions. Prerequisite • Tactical IFAK, TECC/TCCC, Tactical Medic, or similar training • Must be an active law enforcement officer, firefighter, and/or EMT (any level), and authorized by your agency Course Objectives • Review of M.A.R.C.H. Protocol skills for rapid assessment and treatment of critical injuries • Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI), rapid triage and treatment protocols • Identify RTF equipment and loadout • Unified Command of active assailant incidents • Basic building entry and room clearing techniques • Quick action drills when the RTF encounters hostile action • RTF movement to victim contact • Civilian extraction from Hot and Warm Zones • Victim evacuation to Treatment Area • Response in low visibility or no visibility environments • Rescue of a downed RTF officer/medic
