Course Description The Prepared Civilian: Response to Trauma course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to life-threatening injuries. In today's unpredictable world, emergencies can occur anywhere, and being prepared to act swiftly and confidently can mean the difference between life and death. Throughout this course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of various life-threatening injuries, including severe bleeding, penetrating wounds, fractures, and other critical conditions. They will learn how to assess the situation, prioritize actions, and provide immediate first aid and assistance until professional medical help arrives. Who should take this course? Anyone involved in moderate to high risk activities or who wants to be prepared to mitigate life-threatening injuries. Course Topics Include: IFAK Layout & Staging Emergency Planning Use of Tourniquets, Chest Seals, NPAs Wound and Airway Management Patient Assessment & Stabilization Multiple Hands-on Scenarios This course includes STOP THE BLEED® certification Course Length: 4-5 Hours
